Back for IWCE in Atlanta

Attended IWCE (International Window Coverings Expo) in Atlanta several days week and attended a regional Exciting Windows conference. Over the next few days I will share information, product ideas/pictures and trends of what I learned and saw this week. Lots of great stuff swimming through my head now I just have to sort it out and figure out how to implement it to benefit my clients.

Am I in your neighborhood?

I am out on the streets and in the neighborhoods, shaking hands and leaving doorhangers with information about Exciting Windows by Home Interior Solutions . We are a full-service window treatment company. We offer in-home consultations and bring product and fabric samples to you. I am out canvassing because it is one of the best ways to generate customer appointments. Today I was in a south Greenville, SC neighborhood, on an appointment. After I finished I walked and drove to the other houses and introduced myself and/or left company information at 37 homes. It resulted in 2 appointments, both folks were very glad I stopped by and introduced myself and company. I look forward to creating custom window treatments for them. Shutters and Drapery from Exciting Windows by Home Interior Solutions

Plantation Shutters and soft treatments a great combination. To the left is a photo from a job we installed. We first installed the shutters for the customer and a year later we were called back to help complete the look in the bay in the Master bedroom. The client did not want the treatment to come over the top of the shutters to allow the shutters to continue to open for access to the windows . Our solution was to make a cornice (which allowed the shutter to pass underneath), with drapery panels to complete the look.

Architectural Shaped Shutters

Most shutters are simple, a rectangle. Others provide more of a challenge. Today we successfully installed an oval wood Plantation Shutter. It was fun for our shop to produce. The photo displays a Poplar wood shutter, with 3.5″ louvers, custom painted in SW Warm Patina paint to match the customers trim. The customer was thoroughly delighted with the end result.
